On the sidelines of the G20 Summit on November 21 and 22, 2020, to be held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), the Noma Fund association will officially launch its international campaign “Objective: eradicate Noma by 2030”, which will result in the reading of the following petitions :

  • Call on G20 leaders to end the tragedy of children ravaged by Noma
  • Appeal to Heads of State around the world for free care for children with Noma disease
  • Appeal to the UN General Assembly for the recognition of the state of global health emergency for Noma disease

Noma Fund will present the petitions in favor of the fight against Noma to the heads of Member States, in order to raise their awareness of this childhood disease, which affects more than 140,000 children every year, and to enable the implementation of all means of action required to eradicate this scourge of extreme poverty.

Together, let’s mobilize and raise the necessary funds for the creation of a hospital specialized in repairing the faces of child victims of Noma!

Roger Milla, Joseph-Antoine Bell, François Omam-Biyic, and Patrick Mboma are organizing this 1st International Conference to mobilize world leaders to finance the action plan “Acting against Noma 2021-2030” and the urgent construction of the Africa Regional Reference Hospital, in order to enable the 140,000 children disfigured each year by Noma disease to benefit from effective, fast and free surgical care.
